Lash Enhancement
FAQs
WHAT IS LASH ENHANCEMENT?
Lash Enhancement adds a thin line along the top lash line creating the illusion of thicker, fuller and darker lashes opening up the eyes. It gives a natural finished look and make your eyes “pop”!
NOTE: We are no longer offering shaded eyeliner or bottom eyeliner. Clients who had these services previously done by Wildflower Beauty + Brows, please send us an email at rachelle@wildflowerbeautyandbrows.com.
DOES LASH ENHANCEMENT
A topical anesthetic cream or gel is used to numb the area before and during the procedure. Pain level may vary depending upon each individual. Please note heightened sensitivity may occur during menstrual cycle.
HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE?
There are several stages which include; numbing, outlining the desired shape, the actual process of Lash Enhancement/Shaded Eyeliner, and the fine tuning of the finished process. This usually takes roughly 2-2.5 hours.
HOW LONG DOES IT LAST?
Lash Enhancement procedure is considered semi-permanent and fades over time. It is important to schedule a follow-up appointment after your initial treatment in 6-8 weeks for final evaluation and additional treatment to perfect your eye shape. After the 2nd treatment, touch-ups may be needed approximately after 3-5 years depending upon each individual. Skin type and lifestyle can effect the longevity of your cosmetic tattoo - we can not guarantee specific results.
IF YOU HAVE ANY OF THE FOLLOWING, YOU ARE NOT A CANDIDATE FOR THIS PROCEDURE:
Sensitive eyes, allergies, dry eye, glaucoma, watery eyes, drainage, hooded lids, large or excessive purple/blue veins above lash line on lid. Unfortunately these conditions will not create the best experience or outcome due to the delicate nature of the eyelid tissue.
Those who suffer from anxiety or are anxious are not candidates for this procedure. If this arises during the appointment and client chooses to not follow through, the client will be charged the full procedure amount.

PRE APPOINTMENT
Please refrain from all activities that may cause irritation of the skin or thinning of the blood prior to your appointment:
LASH EXTENSIONS - Must be removed a week prior to their appointment to avoid infection during the healing process. Please wait 2 weeks after your appointment before reapplying lash extensions.
LASH SERUMS - Eyelash growth serums such as Latisse or Rodan + Fields can provoke the capillaries to get closer to the surface, as a result to heightened sensitivity and chances of color migration. Please discontinue the use of eyelash serums 2 weeks prior and 2 weeks after for optimal results.
CONTACT LENSES - Must be removed prior to the appointment to avoid discomfort. Bring glasses if necessary. Refrain from wearing contact lenses until 3-4 days after the procedure.
MAKEUP - Must arrive free of makeup and eyes properly cleansed. Do not apply makeup in the treated area for 2 weeks after the procedure.
Refrain from alcohol consumption 24 hours before receiving your cosmetic tattoo
Refrain from all medications that cause thinning of the blood including but not limited to: Aspirin, Advil, Aleve, Niacin, Fish Oil, Vitamin E, and Ibuprofen. Please consult your physician before stopping any medication.
Refrain from consuming caffeine and energy drinks the day of your appointment
You must be off any and all Retin-A or Retinol products for a minimum of 7 days prior to your appointment and 30 days post appointment. These products can cause premature and extreme color loss. If you decide to continue your Retin-A or Retinol use do not apply on the treated area and please keep in mind that Wildflower Beauty + Brows is not responsible for the loss of color in your cosmetic tattoo.
If you are experiencing any blemishes, acne, cold sores, any other skin irritations, or have a mole in or around the area of procedure please contact Wildflower Beauty + Brows immediately via e-mail for a consultation. It is up to the discretion of our artists to decide whether or not they have a workable surface. Failure to communicate any of these may result in a cancellation or rescheduling of your appointment. All deposits are non-refundable.
We refrain from working on individuals on Accutane and require our clients to be off the medication for a minimum of 1 year before receiving cosmetic tattooing.
If you have been diagnosed with cancer or any extreme illnesses in the past, we require for you to have been in remission for a minimum of 1 year and have a signed note by a licensed physician in order to receive cosmetic tattooing. The safety of our clients is our first priority.

THE HEALING PROCESS
What to Expect in the First 6-8 weeks:
Intensified color and swelling are part of the initial stages of healing. Be patient. Do not freak out. The intensity should regress within 2-3 days. The sensation can be comparable to that of a slight burn and minimal scabbing and/or flaking may take place. Refrain from picking the treated area as you may run the risk of removing pigment in the process. The true vibrancy of your cosmetic tattoo is achieved between weeks 6 and 8, in the time leading up to then you’ll experience a slight loss in color before it begins to regenerate as your skin naturally exfoliates.
Some puffiness and redness is normal immediately after and the following couple of days. Clients with more sensitivity can experience more than the usual puffiness or redness and should not affect normal day-to-day activities.
Please keep the treated area dry and away from direct water pressure for a week.
THE HEALED RESULTS
Caring For My New Tattoo
You made it! Celebrate by sleeping in a little longer each day and enjoy your newfound free time. To preserve your completely healed results; apply sunscreen regularly, hats and larger sunglasses are encouraged, and avoid over exposure to the sun. Chlorine, glycol acid, microdermabrasion, and other cosmetic products can lighten the pigment with repeated use. When getting any procedures, whether it be cosmetic or not, done to your face please let the individual performing the service know about your cosmetic tattoo and continue at your own discretion. We are not responsible for any changes made to your brows in its reaction to any additional services you may receive.
